Will the stones fall out over time? + Each ruby and diamond is individually prong set by hand. Pear cut stones are held with V-tip prongs to shield the pointed end. Properly set stones do not shed under normal wear. The lifetime warranty covers any stone loss from manufacturing defect at no cost. Accidental loss from impact is covered under our care plan, ask at checkout. We recommend a prong check once a year, which any jeweler can do in minutes.
Are the rubies real? + Yes. Nineteen natural pear cut rubies, 6 by 4mm each, heated to enhance color stability. Heating is the standard industry treatment, permanent, accepted by GIA, and used on over 90 percent of rubies in fine jewelry. It does not affect durability. An unheated ruby of equivalent color would retail at 3 to 10 times this price.
Are lab grown diamonds real diamonds? + Yes. Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. A gemologist cannot tell the difference without specialized equipment. The FTC confirmed their equivalence in 2018. IGI grades them on the same cut, color, clarity, and carat scale as mined stones. The only difference is origin.
What does the rhodium finish mean for maintenance? + Rhodium is a surface coating applied to white gold to enhance brightness and scratch resistance. It is standard on white gold jewelry and does not affect the solid gold setting underneath. Over years of daily wear the coating can thin. A jeweler can re plate it for a small fee. This is routine maintenance, not a flaw.
