Four budgets cover almost every diamond gift. Under CAD 1,000 buys stud earrings. CAD 1,000 to 2,000 buys larger studs or a pendant. CAD 2,000 to 3,500 buys a tennis bracelet, and above that come statement pieces.

The counts are pieces in the live Draco catalogue at their regular price on October 13, 2026.3 The middle two budgets hold most of the catalogue, which is where the choice is widest.
Lab grown is no longer a niche gift. In 2025 it made up 16 percent of diamond jewellery purchases, up from under 3 percent in 2020.5
The type of piece matters more than the budget. A gift has to fit, has to suit the person and has to survive a return window. The next three sections take each type in turn.
Earrings are the safest diamond gift
Earrings are the safest lab grown diamond gift because nothing needs sizing. A pair of studs fits everyone, works with everything and can be returned unworn within 30 days if the style is wrong.

The entry point is one carat round studs at CAD 711 for one carat of round studs. The same budget buys emerald cut studs at CAD 801, or leaf earrings at CAD 922 for a softer, more decorative look.
A second pair of carats costs less than the first. Two carat round studs are CAD 999, and three carat round studs are CAD 1,299.3
Earrings also carry some of the cheapest carats in the catalogue. Drop and hoop earrings sit at a median CAD 520 per carat in the Draco index, the lowest of any category.4
Which gift gives the most diamond for the money?
A tennis bracelet. Tennis bracelets carry a median CAD 612 per carat in the Draco index, against CAD 944 for rings, because their many small stones share one clasp and one set of links.

Size compounds the effect. Across the catalogue, pieces of five carats and up run a median CAD 540 per carat, while pieces under half a carat run CAD 4,850.4 A bigger piece buys a cheaper carat.
The three carat tennis bracelet is CAD 2,201. The five carat round tennis bracelet is CAD 2,920, and a seven carat princess cut bezel bracelet is CAD 3,496.

Metal changes the price more than most gift buyers expect. On Draco bracelets and rings, 14K gold adds 18 percent to the 10K base, 18K adds 38 percent and platinum 45 percent. Earrings run on a lighter scale, with platinum at 35 percent.
Length is the only fit question. Measure the wrist with a strip of paper, allow a little room, and the length is settled before you order.
Rings make the riskiest gift, unless you know the size
A ring is the riskiest lab grown diamond gift. Draco resizes rings free, but under the return policy a resized ring can no longer be returned, so a guessed size turns a gift into a final sale.
The return policy is specific. Pieces must come back unworn within 30 days of delivery, with their packaging, documentation and certificate, and with no sign of wear, alteration or resizing.2
